Our occupational medicine services at Northwest Ohio Urgent Care can help both employers and employees in a number of different ways.

For employers, occupational medicine can provide help with pre-employment and for individuals who are already employed with your company. Pre-employment physicals in our excellent facility can ensure that your prospective hires have the physical competence to withstand the rigors that the nature of your work requires. If necessary, we also can screen for drug testing and provide immediate results due to our advanced onsite laboratory! We can also do annual physical exams for your employees to guarantee their continued competence to perform well at their position and to prevent future injury. If one of your employees experiences an injury, we can help rehabilitate them and reduce the amount of time they would have to miss work.

Pre-employment physicals are also helpful for employees! They can help alert you to things you should be cautious about with your prospective employment or provide peace of mind that you will be able to perform at a high level without any hindrances. Moreover, if you do experience a work injury, we can partner with worker’s compensation to help expedite your recovery.

Additionally, we will provide Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals if you or one of your employees will be regularly operating a commercial vehicle in order to assess your or your employee’s aptitude to safely do so.

Annual physical exams are quite beneficial to provide for your employers as they can provide you as an employer with peace of mind that your employees continue to have adequate physical and mental fitness to perform their duties without risk of injury or incident. That being said, it is highly recommended that you clearly state this expectation to them either prior to hiring them or during their orientation so that you are both on the same page.
